Yoga and Meditation Courses

Courses are different from our regular drop-in classes. They give you an overall understanding of yoga practice and theory in small groups, giving everyone a chance to be guided individually and with special care. All classes have the same teacher and students. This system allows a relationship to be developed between the teacher and students, and among the students themselves. Also the class follows a natural progression as the students become more adept at what they are studying.

Apart from Yoga 1, 2, and 3, all courses are taught by Swami Padmapadananda, a long-time direct disciple of Swami Vishnudevananda and director of the SF Yoga Center.


Yoga for Beginners

The best course to take if you are a beginner or wish to have easier, more gentle classes. It prepares you for regular drop-in classes, and gives you a thorough understanding of Yoga practice and theory.


Yoga for Intermediate & Advanced Level Students

These are natural continuations of the Yoga for Beginners Course, bringing one deeper into the practice and introducing new postures in addition to variations of the basic postures.


Positive Thinking and Meditation

Thought power and thought culture will go together with meditation techniques, in theory and practice. All you need to know for your personal practice.
